For the 10th anniversary of the World of Jansje in Haarlem, I made portraits of their employees together with Theo Captein. The entrance for the employees is in the Peuzelaarsteeg, which, according to tradition, also led to the back door of Frans Hals' studio. To celebrate the anniversary, all employees are individually portrayed in the style and atmosphere of Frans Hals.

It is Monday again, we continue where we left off. Monday is French fries-day for Aida Abdoul (72), the name giver of the snack wagon at the start of the Markerwaard dyke near Lelystad. Her birthplace is Cairo. She married a Dutchman and moved here in 1981. "Everyone in the Netherlands loves snacks and fries," she says. Yes, she too. And Esam's son would prefer to declare fries-day every day of the week.
It is Monday again, we continue where we left off. Cor van Beele(75) from Scheveningen is moving.
Cor has two old Peugeots 404. On the picture he is in the least beautiful. The other, a convertible from 1966, is in the garage that Cor leases from a housing corporation. The garage is ideally located five minutes from his home. Still, the corporation has other plans with the building, so not only the residents, but also all garage tenants must move out.
