By invitation of the Mennonite Mission I traveled to Pakantan in Sumatra, Indonesia.This trip I made in the footsteps of Johann Thiessen (1869 -1953) who was a missionary in Pakantan between 1901 t / m in 1912.
Thiessen was a talented amateur photographer. .I spent several weeks in the valley of Pakantan were I lived among the population of the Mennonites community the sawa's and its workers
